Tangor Bistro Indochinois

THEY TALK ABOUT US

Picture
Le petit Fûté

Atmospheric with its low-lit interior of dark woods and tangerine-coloured walls peppered with old travel posters, Tangor boasts a menu of beautifully crafted fusion food, blending the best of seasonal Lao produce with French cuisine. Dishes include beef tenderloin, pork filet mignon and tapas and there's a decent wine selection. Finish it off with a Cuban cigar.

Tangor has made its name as one of the best French fine dining establishments in the city. Located on the main strip of Rue Sisavangvong, it is a wonderful place to relax and watch the world go by. Tangor has a diverse but well-considered menu of classic French and international cuisine, with their signature dish being ceviche. With great service and a cozy atmosphere, diners can experience the best of western gastronomy and Laos culture.
Culture Trip

Tangor has had a well-deserved meteoric rise in popularity since opening November 2012 and it remains one of our top picks. With an unbeatable location in the heart of the main street, the restaurant’s front terrace is our favourite place for a drink and some serious people watching. Tangor serves a small but perfected menu of Asian dishes, often with a French twist, and a range of cocktails, wines and imported beers. The prices are very reasonable considering the ingredients, top service and intimate, refined setting. Highly recommended are the signature fish ceviche, baked camembert and the beef tenderloin with black pepper sauce. Join for after-dinner tipple and soak in the Indochine-chic decor, with old maps and vintage posters of women in cheongsam dresses hanging on rich red walls.

Many fine dining restaurants can be found in the 19th-century French colonial villas on the city’s main boulevards. One such establishment is Tangor Restaurant Bar & Lounge on Sisavangvong Road.

Popular amongst expats living in Luang Prabang, Tangor serves fusion food which marries the best of seasonal Lao produce with French cuisine. Coupled with excellent service, this restaurant is (quite arguably) the best French fine dining establishment in Luang Prabang.
Life Style Asia
Tangor Bar & Grill has been on the scene for a while and it consistently delivers. Bypass the smoky balcony for a table inside, order a couple of glasses of French red and some tapas to start. Ravenous? My money's on the baked camembert and the duck breast - not everyone can cook this succulent bird to perfection; Tangor can.
